The Bee Scribes
The Bee Scribes is an aspiring copywriting agency started by a good friend of mine. I love that the brand is found on traditional values and wisdom in the art of writing, and to showcase this I designed around the bee motif using calligraphy style strokes. I wanted to touch on the brand's sense of sophistication without taking away from its approachable services, and painted the colors with pastel hues matched with a signature deep purple.

'Scribes' were ancient writers who were highly respected for their literacy, and the incomplete, hand-drawn calligraphy signifies the everlasting flow of creative writing that transcends history.
Sophisticated, Friendly, Articulate
The Concept
The branding concept boasts a signature bee logo, formed partially by the same calligraphy letter B used in the brand name. The tail ends of the stroke eases into a traditional fountain pen to form the complete shape of the bee.
